Description
English: The path into Pontefract Castle. The Victorians turned the ruins of Pontefract Castle into gardens. In the central part of the castle grounds, where the path to the left leads, is a large expanse of lawn, which is the scene of many events during the summer months, fetes, historical re- enactments etc. The path to the left leads to the Castle Forge, a privately owned blacksmith shop.
