Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe partly demolished Penmorfa Hotel - geograph.org.uk - 1205200.jpg |
English: The partly demolished Penmorfa Hotel This was the summer residence of the Rev Henry Liddell, the father of Alice (of Alice in Wonderland). It was commissioned by the reverend gentleman in 1861. In later years it became the Gogarth Abbey Hotel (Gogarth being the Welsh name for the Great Orme) and then the Penmorfa Hotel. The later closed in 2006 and the site sold to the Annwyl building firm. The 20thC accretions to the building have been demolished. It is intended that the original building, although the reports vary, will be retained and converted into 28 luxury apartments. |
