Located 500 meter from the other train station of the same name, but despite both being under the same management (the São Paulo state government) and operator (CPTM - Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) since the mid-1990s, there are no links between the two Lapa train stations. But what I said about the Lapa Station of the Line 8 serves just right for this one of the Line 7: "The raw simplicity of the state-run companies' constructions is evident everywhere in this train station built in the late-1970s (although this one is from the mid-1950s), yet I just like these old cheap stations more than the new 'world-class' ones they've been (slowly) building since the late 1990s..." |
