DENDEOBIUM AINSWOETHII. (From the Gardeners' Chroniele.') from Januar3- to March, are deliciously scented, the sepals and petals pure white, the lip marked with a large central feathered blotch of rich bright amaranth or claret-purple. This plant was raised by Mr. Mitchell, when gardener to the late Dr. Ainsworth, of Manchester.—Oarden hybrid. FiG.— Gard. AINSWORTHII ROSEUM, Moore.—A. very handsome deeper coloured variety of the preceding, in which the sepals and petals are of a bright clear rosy magenta, and the lip amaranth crimson with a dark spot, feathered at the edge, and traversed by deeper crimson veins. It flowers in February and March, and was raised, we believe, in the same batch of seedlings as the foregoing.—Garden hybrid. Fig.—Orohid Album, i. t. 20. D.
