| Description |
English: The old lifeboat house The Old Lifeboat House and slipway were completed in 1895 and were in use until 1934. The old slipway with a gradient of 1 in 1.25 was officially the steepest lifeboat slipway in Britain. Because of the steepness of the slipway the lifeboat was returned to the station by being towed back from the harbour by horses. |
