Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The northern wall of the upper pit of Glynrhonwy Upper Quarry This is a stupendous, frightening, hole and of the scores of slate quarries that I have visited is one of my all-time favourite. It was a pioneer in the use of steam and in some parts trains ran along tracks cantilevered along these tremendous rock faces.
