One day, while the young mans wife was embroider-ing feather stars on a dancing-cloth, and his mother wasout gossiping in a tent at the end of the village, a littleyellow bird flew in and perched on High-feathersshoulder, and whispered in his ear,— Theres a great flock of wild red swans just over onLoon Lake.
