It is generally calledthe Lough Diver, It PLATE XX.. It vifits this country only in the winter; on the Continent it isfound as far fouth as Carniola j is alfo found in Iceland, and is fup-pofed to breed and remain there during the winter, or that it pailesto fome other ar6lic reo^ion. It has been obferved with the Merg-an-fers, Ducks, and other Water Birds in their migratory courfe up theWolga in February *. It alfo inhabits America^ having been fent from New-York j.
