Prof. Duffield, of Detroit, who analyzed this water, says : These waters will be found beneficial in all cases wherethere is a lack of secretions in, or exhalation from, the mucoussurface of the gastro intestinal canal, thereby establishinghealthy secretions, especially in torpid conditions of the ali-mentary canal; also for the relief of plethora and chronic mala-dies dependant thereon, producing augmentation of the actionof the absorbents, they will, in the hand of the practitioner ofMedicine, become of value in some forms of dropsy. In Chorea, Hysteria and analogous mala-dies, they will prove a valuable aid to the direct medicationof the family physician.
