He went on and told allabout it, and it sure did go in on my brain,so we had to go down a little steep placethrough a big chestnut orchard to where theG. boy lived. I went in and asked wherethe boys were and the old folks said thatthey were around in the Rich Gap field.That pleased the Banks boys, so just aswe got in sight of the field I met Thomas,a very big man, weighing about 140 or150 pounds. I asked him about knockingthe cows eye out, and, like a mountainman, he said he did. Just as he said itI struck him in the stomach with my lefthand and on the chin with my right handand he struck the ground, and on to himI went and into his face.
