She ministered throughher private almoner to the wants of the sick, andbestowed her name and blessing on many of thecottage babes. By her thoughtful provision asupply of fresh, pure milk from the dairy of LeaHurst was daily sent to those who were in specialneed of it. People on the estate recall that beforeshe left in the autumn Miss Florence alwaysgave directions that a load of holly and evergreensshould be cut from Lea Woods and sent tothe Nurses Hisme at St. Thomass, the DistrictNurses Home in Bloomsbury Square, and theHarley Street Home, for Christmas decoration.
