Description

In the first week of June 2019, this fleet and more Daks will gather in Caen, Normandy, France for the 75th anniversary of D-Day, June 6th, 1944.

This year, we are going to witness an awesome event with an unparalleled magnitude of more than 30 flying C-47s/ DC-3s/ Dakotas from the USA, Canada, and Europe over Normandy over the week of dday festival 2019.

21 DC-3/C-47 with 12 of them are WWII veterans at Caen Airport : -"Mayfly" : Market Garden. -"Daisy" : DDay -"D-Day Doll" : DDay, towing waco glider and Market Garden -"Placid Lassie" : DDay, Market Garden, Repulse and Varsity -"Spirit of Benovia" : Burma campaign -"Virginia Ann" : Dday, Market Garden, Varsity -"Biscuit Bomber" Berlin Airlift -"Prinses-Amalia : Dday -"Hotelli" : European theatre -"Liberty" : Mediterranean theater and Dday -"That's all brothers" : Dday, Market Garden, Varsity and Repulse -C41 : Requisitioned by Major General Henry ‘Hap’ Arnold as VIP transports for himself and military command staff.
