Hermit, as soon as the violenceof his onrush allows him, pulls up, turns, and repeatsthe charge, to pass again beneath his enemys arm ;and again, and again, till the eye turns giddy atthe lightning-like manoeuvre ; and at every turn thevaliant fighter makes that indescribable, graceful bendof his lithe body, and swings out his capa withunerring art. The masterpiece is yet to come. Onthe bulls charging for the seventh time, Reverte givesan abrupt half-turn, trails his cloak over his shoulder,and walks deliberately away.
