There were 1,679 miles of railroad on June 30, 1900; 1,9<^1miles on June 30, 1901; 2,263 miles on June 30, 1902; 2,520miles on June 30, 1903, a total increase in three years of 841miles. Stock. According to the best estimates, there are here 1,123,000head of cattle; 5,674,000 sheep, 250,000 goats, 97,500 horses.The wool crop in 1903 was 22,000,000 pounds. During the lastfiscal year there were shipped out of the territory 184,602 cat-tle, 5,562 horses and 422,252 sheep. Internal Revenue. From June 30, 1900, to June 30, 1903, New Mexico paid$130,375 in internal revenue. For the year ending June 30,1903, §33,918; for the year ending June 30, 1902, §37,847; forthe year ending June 30, 1901, $58,607. Incorporations. In the past three fiscal years 553 companies filed incorpora-tion papers, with a capitalization of $309,711,966 with the Ter-ritorial Secretary.
