The Siamese and Malays are gen-erally similar to the representatives of the same raceselsewhere, so that there is no need to describe themhere. Besides the three indigenous races abovementioned, there is a very large immigrant Chinesepopulation. The Chinese come chiefly from Amoy, and manyof them settle permanently in the country.
