| Description |
English: The junction of the B1354 with the B1110 The B1354 (Fakenham Road) connects the village of Saxthorpe with Fakenham, further to the west; the B1110 (Dereham Road) leads from Holt to Dereham, further to the south. The view was taken from Gallowhill Lane, a minor road which changes its name to The Street and re-connects with the B1110 further to the southwest. A small copse beside Gallowhill Lane, called Pigg's Grave, has the distinction of being the highest point in Norfolk, standing 101 metres above sea level. It was named after Pigg, a highwayman, who is presumed to have been hanged on Gallowhill Lane and is believed to be buried here. |
