Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The inlet channel for the tidal pools Visible the other side of the remains of the buildings, this channel was cut through the coastal rocks to allow seawater to flow into the ponds at high tide. It was then trapped in the ponds by a damming system, and pumped into the evaporation buildings by the windmill. This process allowed the salt works to keep going, day and night, regardless of the state of the tides.
