English: The house, Nymans, near to Handcross, West Sussex, Great Britain.
The mock medieval manor house, viewed here framed by the great cedar on the main lawn, was built in the 1920s, commissioned by the then owner Leonard Messel. However it was destroyed by fire in 1947, and although it was partially rebuilt, the east wing, seen here remained a shell. |
