Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe fretted edges of Gogarth Bay - geograph.org.uk - 902712.jpg |
English: The fretted edges of Gogarth Bay Even on a calm day like this one senses the never ceasing battle between an ever restless sea and an ancient landmass. The rocks here belong to the South Stack group of metamorphosed and folded sandstones and mudstones. They were formed in a submarine fan in the Pre-Cambrian period and are at least 500 million years old. |
