| Description |
English: The former Rhydymain Post Office This house situated at the junction of the lane linking Hengwrt Hall, now renamed Aran Hall, with the A494 has all the appearance of having been a lodge. In fact, however, it was, until the late 1940s, the Rhydymain Post Office. Owned by the Owen family, it also housed a general provisions shop and, in the outbuilding nearest the camera, the local smithy. The smithy closed down at the start of WWII. The Owens also owned two other cottages on the lane, Traian and Maesycambren. |
