Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe former Omeath Railway Station (geograph 4335217).jpg |
English: The former Omeath Railway Station This single storey station building and adjacent tiny platform was served by the Newry & Greenore Railway which was opened in 1873. The line was later taken over by the London & North Western Railway which also operated ferries from Greenore to Holyhead, Heysham and Fleetwood. Services came to an end in 1951 with the closure of the ferry services and the line was replaced by a Bus Eireann bus service. |
