English: Senior Airman Erik Hayworth, 673rd Medical Operations Squadron physical medicine technician, assists Staff Sgt. Constance Vaughn, 773rd Civil Engineer Squadron Operations Management, with her acute knee injury at the physical therapy clinic on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Oct. 14, 2015. The acute care program is opening its doors to all beneficiaries Nov. 6, 2015. The program, part of the physical therapy clinic, responds to acute injuries for quicker treatment. An acute injury is one that isn’t an emergency, but stems from a specific trauma, joint or muscle and can be seen at the acute care clinic at the JBER hospital.
