Description
English: This method was commonly used in southern Nigeria in the early 1900's when technology was was not pronounced in Africa.The worker a woman (here in this picture ) uses a locally made grater,it is made from beverages tins and other condemned Iron and a nail for puncturing the holes.After grinding, she puts it in a bag and presses it with a heavy stone for a day or two then after will she get a dry cassava for frying I.e if she wants to prepare Garri(also known as Cassava Flakes).This is one of the really fading traditional craft in Africa.
