Unreliability and the Restraint of the Drinking Habit The habits of a person in reference to drinking, smok-ing or chewing are also called into question but to dif-ferent degrees according to the nature of the business orcharacter of an overseers position. A supervisor may betolerated by some in the latter two useless and often in-jurious habits, but with the first never to the extent ofintoxication. Any supervisor, no matter how lowly or unimportanthis position, should ever permit the drinking of intoxi-cants to go that far as in any wise to affect his mind orcarriage. He is most wise who will absolutely, under anyand all conditions, abstain from their use during his hoursof duty at the least.
