1288 Meta^ Environs. SALZBURG //. Route 13. 67 To the S.W. of Salzburg (IV4 M.; steam-tramway, see p. 60)is the chateau of Leopoldskron, with a large fish-pond and Swim-ming Bath (p. 60; Restaurant). From this point the extensiveLeopoldskroner Moos stretches southwards to the base of theUntersberg. On the Moos-Strasse, which traverses the moor toGlanegg, are a group of 200 houses inhabited by peat-cutters,and the Moos-Bader or peat-baths (omnibus, see p. 60). The Lud-wigsbad is ^^ M. from Leopoldskron, and the Marienbad I74 M. From (4 M.) Glanegg (1460; Inn)^ with its old chateau, a road as-cending by the falls of the Glan leads to (2 M.) the source of the stream,called the -Fui^stenhrunnen (1950), the excellent water of which (42°Fahr.)is now conducted to Salzburg. On the road are several marble-cuttingworks and bullet-mills (omnibus, see p. 60). In the vicinity are theQuarries which yield the beautiful Untersberg marble (Restaurant zurSchonen Aussicht).
