NIJNI-NOVGOROD. 401 The district where the fair is held, entirely constructed during the present century, is laid out with the regularity of an American town. The central bazaar, nearly a mile long, and over half a mile wide, is liued with rows of shops, in Avhich the wares are disposed according to their nature and place of origin. We thus pass from the hardware or woollen to the fur or tea quarters, and from the Pavlovo to the Alexandrov or Tula avenues.
