Description
Hardcover book inscribed "Mrs. M.S. Dimmick with my love Benj Harrison Christmas 1894" in the front. A series of sketches that first appeared in the Westminster Gazette and were collected in 1894 as The Dolly Dialogues. Anthony Hope (Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins) was an English writer and playwright. Best known for his classic adventure tales The Prisoner of Zenda and Rupert of Hentzau, Hope is credited with creating the Ruritanian romance genre.
