Jerusalem Taken. — The Turks upon the walls nowtaunted the Christians for worshiping a God who was notable to defend them. Again they hurled torches, firepots,and innumerable stones, for they had fourteen machineswithin the walls. The Christians continued to fightbravely, facing the greatest dangers.
