Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe convent chapel at Old Hall - geograph.org.uk - 665576.jpg |
English: Former convent chapel of the Old Hall, East Bergholt, Suffolk, seen from the south. The chapel was designed by George Goldie and added in 1857 when the house was converted into a convent. When the hall cesed to be a religious community in the 1970s the chapel was deconsecrated and the altar was removed. The consecration crosses on the walls remain, along with most of the stained glass windows. |
