In March, 1869, William >H. Young and Frederick Blake be-came partners, under the name oflYoung & Blake. In March, 1875, ,the partnership was dissolved, from 1which time, William H. Young has ■continued the business. In 1864, he ■erected the brown-stone-front build-ing, Nos. 8 and 9 First Street, which 1he occupied that year, and connected 1it with his store-room. No. 216 River rStreet. In 1871, he erected the three-story, brick building. No. 214 RivenStreet, to which he removed that part;of his stock contained in the store--room. No. 216 River Street.
