xcellent one fromHanks foundry, and is swinging inthe tower, weighs 22 cwt. A neatstaircase behind the pulpit leadsdown to a spacious vestry room inthe basement, into which there is alsoa door in the rear wall. The courtis paved all around the church withbroad flags, and the whole is enclosedby a neat fence with balusters. Thelots and the building cost $40,368 66.The organ, built by Henry Erben, ofNew York, had 18 slops and 865pipes. On August iB, one hundredpews in the church were sold for$38,000. Some years laver, the fenceon the west and south sides of thebuilding was removed. The erectionof the present rectory was undertakenin 1865. The Erben organ was displaced in1854 by a much larger one, the gift ofMrs. Martha C. Warren, the widow ofStephen Warren. Another, made byC. & G. G.
