The composition of the wordsand music is ascribed to a French knight and troubadour, the Chatelainde Coucy, who lived towards the end of the twelfth century. The transla-tion is from Burneys History of Music. Sung by Mr. Erie V. Goodwin. 3 The Minstrel Song is a strolling ballad mongers song, dating from theearly fifteenth century. Sung by Prof. Harry N. Lendall.
