The cause of God and truth. In four parts. containing, I. An Examination of the principal Passages of Scripture made use of by the Arminians in favour of their Scheme. II. A Vindication of the Argument founded on such Passages of Scripture as prove the Doctrines of Eternal Election, Particular Redemption, Original Sin, Efficacious Grace in Conversion, and the Final Perseverance of the Saints. III. A Confutation of the Arguments taken from Reason against those Doctrines. IV. The Judgment of the Antient Christian Church: or, the Sense of the Christian Writers of the first Four Centuries concerning them. To which is added, A Vindication of Part IV. of the above Work, relating to the Antient Christian Writers, about some Things in Controversy with the Arminians, from the Cavils, Calumnies and Desamations of Mr Henry Heywood, &c.
