Bacteria reddish-brown, the tibiae fasciated mth paler coloui, the body very slender and smooth, the femoraspined, the fore tibiae very elongate without spinulse, the four posterior tibiae armed with minute spines ; the inter-mediate with a slightly larger spine on the upper margin near the base ; the 7th segment of the abdomen incrassated,the last one sht. (Male.) Length of insect 6 inches. Inhabits Sylhet. In Coll. Westwood. Observation.—The proportions and general appearance of this insect indicate that it is mostprobably the male of the preceding. It is on this account that I have represented them both onone plate. d5.
