Description
English: Fleuron from book:
The art of shadows: or, universal-dialling; with tables exactly calculated for the Lat. of 51 deg, 30 min. viz. London. Teaching any person, tho' of an ordinary capacity, and unlearned in the mathematicks, to draw a true sun-dial, upon any given plan, however Situated, in respect of Declination and Recreation. And a table shewing the distance of each hour-line from the meridian, upon all horizontal-dials. Likewise, Arithmetical, Spot, Concave, Convex, Instrumental, Reflex, Cylindrical Dialling. With The manner of Ornamenting these several sorts of Dialling with all Useful Furniture; and how to Cut the five Regular Bodies, and two others, one of twelve Rhombs, and the other of thirty.
