The Artery of the bulb is given off from the pudic nearly oppositethe opening for the transmission of the urethra; it passes almost 344 INTERNAL PUUIC AETEEY. transversely inwards between the two layers of the deep perinealfascia, and pierces the anterior layer to enter the corpus spongiosumat its bulbous extremity. It is distributed to the corpus spongiosum. The Artery of the corpus cavernomm pierces the crus penis, andruns forward in the interior of the corpus cavernosum, by the side ofthe septum pectiniforme. It ramifies in the parenchyma of thevenous structure of the corpus cavernosum. The Dorsal artery of the penis ascends between the two crura andsjTnphysis pubis to the dorsum penis, and runs forward through thesuspensory ligament, in the groove of the corpus cavernosum, to theglans, distributing branches in its comse to the body of the organand integument. The Inteenal pudic artery in the female is smaller than in the Fig. )30.*
