The chemical division has a collection of thetypical soils of the State, fertilizer materials, etc., a complete collec-tion of the commercial fertilizers sold in the State, and a small collectionof lantern slides illustrating the principal breeds of milch cows, etc.The State geological cabinet, located at the college, and the geolog-ical and mineralogical collections of the college are accessible to stationworkers. The station library contains 2,215 bound volumes and about 4,800unbound volumes and pamphlets. The college library is accessible tostation workers, as is also the valuable public library of the city ofLexington. The laboratories of the station are well equipped withsuch apparatus as is required in their work. Special mention maybe made of an overflow pipette designed at the station and used formeasuring standard acid in nitrogen determinations. U. S. Dept. of Agr., Bui. 80, Office of Expt.
