He developed a new type of humor, appealing so strongly to the public, that he is nowin demand as a popular speaker, and is talkin* most every night, telling merry tales. Evenhis minutes as Clerk of the Board of Health are so punctured with references to cafe parfait,asparagus vinaigrette and pate de fois gras that the sending out of notices to cut down weedsin back yards are retarded.
