ugs, massage, electricity,etc. During this year the students serve as clerks to thevarious dispensary physicians, in rotation, and thus have avaluable opportunity to extend their knowledge of thera-peutics and prescription writing. The department has a very complete collection ofmateria medica, so arranged that the preparations areexhibited in connection with the crude drug. The labora-tory of pharmacy is a well equipped room adjacent tothe drug store of the dispensary; in it the student isprovided with a desk and a set of apparatus for all thecommon pharmaceutical operations. DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY Tlie instruction in pathology consists of recitations,lectures, laboratory work and autopsies. The class roomexercises consist of recitations from a text-book, illustra-tions being furnished by the use of the large collections ofpreparations of morbid anatomy belonging to the depart-ment, and by many fresh pathological specimens. Thedepartment also has a large collection of lantern slides
