Description
English: Hawa Mahal, also known as the Wind Palace, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is a palace built from red and pink sandstone, it is akin to a honeycomb with its 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework, it is on the edge of the City Palace and extends to the Zenana (women's chambers), the structure was built in 1799 by the Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, he was so inspired by the unique structure of Khetri Mahal of Jhunjhunu that he built this grand and historical palace.
