DescriptionThe Whittern in Lyonshall.JPG | View of The Whittern. The Whittern was built in 1935, to replace the Victorian neo-Gothic house built by Richard Green in 1873. The coach house and stable block for the original Whittern was converted into luxury accommodation in 2005, and is available for luxury self catering accommodation in Herefordshire for groups of upto 22 people. As well as 4 separate relaxation spaces, there is a 2 acre walled garden incorporating a swimming pool, and the old potting shed has a sauna and hot tub. The Whittern garden includes some wonderful specimen trees including a Pedestal Larch, reputed to have been transplanted from Blair Atholl castle in the 1870's. | ||
