Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Whitla Hall, Belfast (detail) - geograph.org.uk - 620051.jpg |
English: The Whitla Hall, Belfast (detail). The Whitla Hall at Queen's University was started in 1938 and completed, after a break for WWII, in 1949. The architect was John MacGeagh. One of the better examples of the architecture of the period it has the University coat of arms (almost supported by Aesculapius (the God of medicine) and a scribe) above the main doorway.
