Thomasville, Ga., the great winter resortamong the pines, wants wheelmen andwheelwomen to winter within its gates. TheBusiness League elsewhere in this issue ex-tends the invitation. Specially built cyclepaths and driveways abound, and the balmyand salubrious climate permits cycling theyear round. Thomasville, too, is within easydistance of the more expensive Florida re-sorts. NO CRIMSONITE TEAM. There will be no Crimson Rim racing teamnext year. The Syracuse Cycle Company willwithdraw entirely from the racing field. In-stead of racing men, President Bowe statesthat travelling salesmen will be employed. Al-ready fourteen of them are on the road, andsixteen more will follow.
Text Appearing After Image:
This is a scene that occurs several hundredtimes each day in the premier city of theNew World—New York—on Eighth avenue, between Forty-ninth and Fiftieth streets.Few cyclists there are who do not know thespot too well and to their great inconvenienceand bodily discomfort. The Eighth avenuerailway car stables are located there, and, asif the odor that ever fills the air was not suffi-cient, the railway company, through some in-definable influence, is able to maintain theonly block of rough pavement in nearly sevenmiles of asphalt. The stones are insected andbisected by a multiplicity of tracks, are un-even in the extreme, and in damp weather
