Wehrenberg; Washington Wheel-men—J. W. Davison, G. A. Murray, C. A.Nixon, J. A. Murray and G. H. Stonebridge. The race was close and exciting. Murrayand Davison alternated in the lead from thestart to finish. The men finished as follows:G. A. Murray, first; J. W. Davison, second;G. C. Wheeler, third; E. H. Ernst, fourth; C.A. Fulle, fifth; C. A. Nixon, sixth. The race was decided by points, and as boththe Harlem and Washington Clubs scoredforty-nine points each, it will necessitate therace being run over. The winners time was 45m.56s. The prizes consisted of two silver cups.The tie between the Washington and HarlemClubs will be run off next month. The Quaker City Wheelmen have decided toagain hold the twenty-five mile road race overLancaster Pike in connection with their racemeet on August 26. This race was droppedlast year, but there has been so much inquiryand road racers were so much disappointedlast year that the committee in charge hasbeen compelled to add it to the programme.
