Description
English: The Wedgwood Factory, from the Trent and Mersey Canal, Barlaston. Nicholson's Guide to the waterways refers to Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795) as being one of the prime movers in the concept of the canal to provide cheap, safe, and rapid (compared with pack-horses) transport of factory raw materials, and finished produce.
