Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Waterside or Pottree Close', showing cottages with whalebone arches on the shore, overlooking the Dee estuary. To the rear are warehouses. On the left a horse stands at the foot of Waterside Lane, which gave access from York Street. The house on the left with a pantiled roof is Alexander Hall's Home, reputedly on Waterside Lane or Portree Close. Waterside Lane was located on the old Pocra Road which was renamed York Street. The Whale-jaw Arches were erected by homecoming Whalers.
