English: The Virgin Islands from English and Danish surveysSingle sheet. Hand col engr. Scale: ca. 1:500 000 (bar). Cartographic Note: Graduated, meridians of London and Ferro. Scales in sea leagues and statute miles. Additional Places: Caribbean. Contents Note: Twelve views. Text box describing the settlement history of the islands. The current population was 'chiefly English from Nevis and Antigua and Irish papists'. Thomas Jefferys was Georgrapher to Geroge III - he died in 1771 and so this map was published posthumously.
