English: Satire on country clergy showing a self-important vicar. The vicar raises a heavy stick to beat his tired horse and accidentally hits his wife who sits aside behind his saddle. Two parish school-children curstey and bow obsequiously; a milestone on the right reads, "XXX Miles from London". 1 June 1768
