Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Vanner House at Wheal Basset Stamps The whole purpose of the works here at Wheal Basset Stamps was to concentrate tin ore and make it ready for smelting. The ore was first crushed to fine sand by "stamps" (hence the name of this place), after crushing it was separated from the lighter non-ore rock by machinery known as "vanners" in this building.
