Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Vale Bridge near Edgbaston, Birmingham - geograph.org.uk - 1732209.jpg |
English: The Vale Bridge near Edgbaston, Birmingham Worcester and Birmingham Canal, this part built in the early/mid 1790s.
With the extensive development of The Vale Student Village to the south and west, the smartening up of the canal has included the construction of a new winding hole, where boats up to seventy feet in length can be turned round, and this recently built bridge (No 84A). All the bridge provides is access for the residents onto the pleasantly landscaped, partly wooded leisure area between the towpath and the railway. Very nice too! |
